| Alan Wright Sun 04 Oct 2009 18:40:05|| Due to work reasons I have decided to sell my Manta. It is number 1054, which was made in 1977. The boat is in excellent condition. It comes with four sails: jib, genoa, main and spinnaker. The spinnaker looks like it has never been used and the jib has a UV strip. During the summer I bought a Plastimo 406 roller reef, but I haven?t fitted it yet. It is still in the box and included in the sale. Also included in the sale are warps and fenders, chain and anchor, tool kit, locks, handheld GPS and various other bits and bobs. It is sitting on a fully braked galvanised trailer and there is a light board which sits under the mast when the boat is set for a road move. There is a 4hp Yamaha 2 stroke outboard, which is also in good condition. Since I have had the boat it has been stored undercover when it has not been in the water. |
If anybody would like more details, please phone me on 01343 552304 or 07910 578649. The boat is in Elgin, Scotland, but if anybody wants to visit from down south (let?s face it, that?s most of you) then I am willing to pick people up from the airport or train station. I have loads more photos which I might upload onto a blog later, but in the meantime e-mail me on firstname.lastname@example.org and I will send them to you.

| Mark Mon 05 Oct 2009 09:51:23|| Hi Alan,|
Any chance you could post a few details on the spinnaker. I am really keen to find out how it is rigged, how long the pole is, length of the foot and sides. Also, how do you rig the guy and sheet when it is in use.
| Alan Wright Sun 22 Nov 2009 17:37:33|| Thanks for all you interest. The boat is now sold. Mark, sorry for not replying, I have never rigged the spinnaker. If I get time I may measure it for you before I handover ownership.|
