Putting my Manta 19 back in the water. Not been in for 24months and needing some TLC. Got her up on some props today to get the weight off the trailer. Trailer needs some repairs and strengthening prior to launch.
Project already behind schedule a little but managed to get the trailer out and have replace damaged parts. The previous owner did a great job of building the trailer as light weight as possible but failed to make it sturdy enough to prevent bending to its spars and inspire any confidence that it’s not going to crumple. It lasted a good few years though.
I’ve bolted in a mild steel sheet to strengthen the axel and replaced the suspension units and wheel with ones now rated to carry over 900kg.
Hoping to get the rotten hatch out today and start making a new one.
