Winter storage | 1 | Mon 25 Nov 2013 18:00:12 |
liam Tue 19 Nov 2013 15:07:24 | Hi all, after enjoying a few months on the water with my new manta Ive hauled her out for the winter. Im just hoping to pick your brains on anything particular I should look to do before leaving her outside for 6 months? I have a full top cover on her. Does anyone coat the hull with any protective coating etc? Thanks for your advice | |

A cover is a good idea, but make sure it is not going to be ripped by winter gales, or even worse, make the boat topple over in a blow. My experience is that whatever I do there will be bird crap and algae everywhere and will have to do a good clean-up. I regularly get to the boat to do small jobs and ventilate a bit in dry days. Apart from any repair jobs, it is just a matter of counting down the days till spring... |
