 Adrian Wed 01 Oct 2008 20:34:22 | Hi , I am a new Manta owner based at Rutland Water. The boat is called Bloggit and I have sailed her a few times in mainly light winds but she has been superb. There is a new Genoa and I wonder if roller reefing is possible with the existing shackle clips which hoist up the forestay ? Also the centre plate is jammed and had not responded to hammering from the top so guess will have to take the boat onto a gantry somewhere similar to Sophie to get it sorted. Still it sails well without the centreplate. I wonder what difference it really makes ? Finally I have a homemadde rudder which works well but does not swing up . Maybe will get another made sometime, however it works well at present.
