Website Update 6Thu 18 Feb 2021 18:28:54
Mark Mark Tue 15 Nov 2016 22:41:01 I am currently in the process of updating the website to make it mobile friendly and easier to use.

If you have any ideas or suggestions then please post them here.

Hopefully I have the new site up and running early in the New Year.

mhsorens mhsorens Sat 08 Dec 2018 23:11:13 Hi Ian. Well, someone's listening smile

Right now, I'm trying to track down and compare what's out there on Manta 19 maintenance so I can get Funny Girl safely in the water come April. It appears that forum activity is somewhat higher in segeln-forum.de. As a bonus there's a lot of sometimes interesting activity on maintenance of similar boats by Miglitsch and/or Schöchl Yachts in the years before and after the first Manta 19s. Of course the German language is an issue if one hasn't been forced through at least a few years of German language class. However, Google Translate IS getting better by the day.
Mark Mark Fri 02 Aug 2019 10:31:49 The update to the website to make it easier to use and mobile friendly is almost complete and should be ready by the end of the month (August 2019).

All existing info, user accounts etc.. will be transferred into the new site.

There will be a short interruption (no more than a day) when the switch over takes place.
Mark Mark Sat 24 Aug 2019 11:13:20 The website update was completed on 8 August 2019 and everything has been running smoothly since then.

The whole site is now mobile friendly so it should be possible to create and edit your blogs and post in the forums wherever you have a signal on your mobile.

Looking forward to seeing some 'live' pictures of Manta's out on the water smile
Mark Mark Wed 10 Feb 2021 20:04:02 I have made a change in the forum so that if posts contain URLs they will be made into clickable link. Your URL must start with http or https otherwise they will just be shown as plain text.
mhsorens mhsorens Thu 18 Feb 2021 18:28:54 Nice improvement, Mark smile. Of course links WILL die now and then, but at least people won't have to copy explanations from external pages.

One way to avoid linkrot is for all of us to archive external pages we want to refer to on https://archive.org/web/web.php. I have been doing this with Manta19 sales listings for a few years now - and while sales pages are notoriously ephemeral, the archived version of the page lis pretty persistent.
