Bilge Keels / Centreboard | 3 | Thu 12 Nov 2015 23:09:26 |
Richardm Tue 29 Oct 2013 23:27:43 | I have been told that the centreboard is not designed to be dropped on the Bilge Keel version. Is this correct ?

Mekicevica Wed 30 Oct 2013 16:43:32 | No, it is not correct. I have the bilge keel version and the centreboard is just as the single keel. In fact, the bilge keel is not a bilge keel at all, as the side keels are not ballasted. It is more a single keel plus legs, I guess added as an afterthought for the British East Coast creek crawlers. Sometime I am going to remove them as they just add wetted surface (=less speed and more expensive anti-foul paint). Luis
Simon Leslie Ellis Wed 16 Sep 2015 21:14:49 | I have a Manta 19 which I would like to keep on a Mud berth on the River Wyre. Could anyone send me the plan dimensions of the bilge keels, the design of, materials used etc and if possible photos of attachment points under the quarter berth? I would be most grateful to anyone who can.
