 tonymck Sun 17 May 2009 21:24:40 | Hi all, late start to the season this year, but i blame the crunch etc. This weekend the weather was a little on the wild side! Upon refitting the boom, I spotted the gooseneck fitting was in 2 halves, one on the boom with the pintle, and the other half in the mast track. Look at the pic. you'll see the metal has failed thro corrosion, but I think its a weak design point. CHECK all your's if similar. If anyone else's has failed, get in touch for a fix. There is a stainless fabricator where I live to make the repair, although I might get him to make an entire new fitting. RSVP guys Tony  | |
