 Red Herring Sat 16 Jan 2021 13:15:18 | During my year of sailing Red Herring on the River Cam, which involves a lot of tacking, I have found the wooden tiller inconveniently long. Have others felt the same and has anyone tried shortening it?

I'll probably see how I get on with the existing tiller next season - that's assuming there is one - which will anyway be different now that I have a swinging keel; I also have a clearer idea of how to rig a simple self-tacking arrangement for the jib, which would help too. |
