New Home Port for Funny Girl
For a few years, I've been a member of Sundby Sejlforening, a sailing club just 20 minutes on bicycle from my home in central Copenhagen. Last week I was offered a shallow draft berth in the club's marina, which I eagerly accepted. The town of Dragør where Funny Girl has spent most of her time is a really beautiful place with easy access to the Baltic Sea. However, it is also pretty exposed to wind, waves - and in particular the mainly wind dependent Baltic Discharge surface current as would be apparent from tonight's prognosis which is by no means extreme. In Sundby, I will quite simply be able to enjoy more hours on the comparatively sheltered waters and get to be a part of the regular club life and the fun little races. Follow the transition here.
