I am going to sail Red Herring single-handed on the River Cam, which is actually a ditch. She is already rigged to allow the mast to be lowered and raised quickly and easily for passing under bridges and through locks. It would be very helpful if she could also be rigged with a self-tacking jib. Has any other Manta 19 owner fitted a self-taking jib and, if so, can they please avise whether this would be compatible with an A-frame for mast lowering. I wonder whether it might all be a bit too complicated.
